Numerous studies suggest flax hull lignans health benefitsmay
include the prevention of the development of breast, prostate,
colon and other cancers
.

Flax seed hulls (with lignans) are the natural ground flax hulls(organic
shell only) of the flaxseed without any seed materials or oil.

Mounting scientific evidence shows how important it is to consume align
an-rich diet.

Flax seed lignans have anti-tumour, anti-mittic, antioxidant and
weak estrogenic activity
.

The shell of the flaxseed is known and proven to contain very
high levels of botanical lignans especially SDG
.

Friendly bacteria convert the flaxseed hulls with lignans in to
mammalian lignans so that the body can absorb better.

Also Available concentratedflax
hull lignans
our cheapest flax hull supplement. Compare
these two products by looking at the ingredients list.

Flax hull lignans health benefits

The flax seed used to produce these flax hulls are organicgrade
flax seeds and a mechanical process is used to mill the flax seed so
that there is no oil or seed material.

These flax hulls contain high levels of a botanical lignans
(between30-60 mg) called seciosolariresinol dyglucosdie (SDG) which is a
phytonutrient.

They are converted into mammalian lignans called enterodiol (ED)
andenterolactone (EL) in the bowel by friendly bacteria before the body
can absorb the lignans efficiently

This is one of the reasons why we recommend that the flax hullsare
best used with live
probiotic capsules
.

At the same time the flax hulls are excellent nutritious dietary
fibres delivering both soluble
and insoluble fibres
.

Flax hulls contain Cobalamin which is a form of vitaminB12.

Flax hulls significantly boost the body's immune systemand
help stop excessive free radical activity.

Flax Hull Lignans are more potent as an antioxidant than the
darkest leafy green vegetable!

Kale is a vegetable that has one of the highest ORAC values (the
measurement of antioxidant).

Kale's ORAC value is 1770, while concentrated flax hull lignanshave
an ORAC value of 19,600!

Prunes are the fruit with the highest ORAC value at 6,770, which still
doesn't come close to flax hull lignans!

  • Provide the Recommended Daily Value (RDA) of Vitamin B12 in the form
    of Cobalamin

  • Provide excellent nutritious dietary fibre (both
    soluble and insoluble)

The flax hulls are certified
organic
by U.S.A. Organics (Cert. # US-ND-P0012) & Global OrganicAlliance,
Inc. (Cert. # 4276) both of USA

The flax hulls are certified Kosher and Pareve byVAAD

Flax hull lignans and cancer

Flax seeds are by far the richest source of cancer-fighting plantlignans.

Concentrated flax hull lignans significant ability to prevent
cancer
is recognized by the National Cancer Institute

In addition to having anti-cancer properties
flaxlignans also have anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungus
properties
.

An early 1980s study found cancer patients have lower levels
oflignans than tumour-free controls
.

Flax hull lignans and breast cancer

Flax hull lignans are potentially the richest
source of phytoestrogens in the human die
t and may be linked
to a low incidence of breast and colon cancer

Flax hull lignans help protect against and support treatment for breast
cancer
, an Australian study (Lancet, 1997) suggested.

substantial reduction in breast cancer risk among women with
high intake of phytoestrogens, particularly lignans
.

Consumption of foods high in lignans may help protect
women from developing breast cancer
.

Flax hull lignans and prostate cancer

A diet supplemented with flax hull lignansmay
inhibit the growth and development of prostate cancer.

Protect against or support treatment to prostate cancer,a
Swedish study found decreased PSA after just 6 months.

Men with prostrate issues may experience
benefits
as a study suggests favourable effect on prostate
cancer biology - Study Denmark-Wahnefried (2001).

You can use a home prostate
testing kit
to check your PSA Levels.

Flax hull lignans and menopause

Concentrated flax hull lignans are the best natural substitute
for oestrogens
for both men and women.

ED and EL mimic oestrogens in the body and are better
than HRT
for eliminating menopause
symptoms
such as Hot Flushes

Flax hull lignans and cholesterol

A study at U Saskatchewan shows 73% reduction of plaque build-up
in the arteries
, and also a reduction
of total and LDL cholesterol
.

Flax hull lignans and muscle damage

Reported by Physiotherapy Research in 1995, pre-treatment with
aLignan-enriched extract was protective against physical
exercise-induced muscle damage
.

Another Study shows the positive effects on bone mineral density
and to protect against calcium loss

Concentrated flax hull lignans research

Research - flax seed hulls, *(Obermeyer W, et al (US Food and Drug
Administration, centre for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, Div.
Contaminants Chem., Natural Products Branch), Meeting Of The Federation
Of American Societies For Experimental Biology On Experimental Biology

Fortified Flax Hulls are essentially flax hulls (lignans) as described
above fortified with 3-day old broccoli sprouts. Broccoli
sprouts have been studied by Prof. Dr. Paul Talalay of John Hopkins
University (MD, USA) and found to contain high levels of glucoraphanin.
Glucoraphanin when chewed releases a powerful antioxidant called
Sulforaphane

.Prof. Dr. Paul Talalay studied and found that Sulforaphane are highly
effective in the treatment of cancers in rats. Other studies have found
that 3-day broccoli sprouts contain the highest level of Glucoraphanin
and the reason that they are chosen to fortify the flax hulls. These
3-day old broccoli sprouts are grown organically from specially chosen
organic seeds. After harvesting, the sprouts are freeze-dried to
preserve its properties.

The mayo clinic (USA)

Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring compounds that lower circulating
estrogens in your body. Flaxseed is particularly high in one
phytoestrogen, lignans, which appears to decrease estrogens production
and which may inhibit the growth of some breast cancers.

prevention/WO0009

The American cancer society

One study of 25 men with prostate cancer found that a low-fat diet along
with ground flaxseed reduced serum testosterone, slowed the growth rate
of cancer cells, and increased the death rate of cancer cells.
