What is the KoolPak Elasticated Holster
The KoolPak Elasticated Holster is an elasticated strap, designed to hold hot and cold packs in place on the skin with a pouch.
This allows the user to continue their treatment without the need to hold the pack in place and eliminates the need for cumbersome towels.
The KoolPak Elasticated Holster is fully adjustable, with easy to use velcro straps. This makes applying pressure for cold compression therapy easy and user friendly.
The Straps are skin friendly and will not irritate or itch.
Benefits of Cold Compression Therapy
Cold Compression therapy can be used in the treatment of muscular and joint related injuries, especially injuries relating to spains causing swelling and inflammation.
Cold Compression Therapy works to reduce swelling of inflammed muscles and joints by decreasing arterial blood flow to the affected area.
The ice pack should be used in conjunction with compression to ensure optimal treatment efficacy, this is because the pack works to provide deep permeation to substantial muscles in the body, such as the quadriceps.
Cold therapy also blocks pain receptors, reducing the amount of pain felt, this is of the most benefit in the 72 hour after the injury is sustained, however cold therapy can be used throughout the treatment process to reduce pain if needed.

Do not cold packs on one area for more than 20 minutes at a time.
