Description

The SELFCheck Female Chlamydia Test is a simple and reliable test to detect the tiny bacterium called Chlamydia trachomatis, which is the cause of the sexually transmitted infection (STI) Chlamydia, which otherwise often presents no symptoms. Chlamydia is easily treatable but if left untreated, it can lead to complications such as inflammation of the fallopian tubes (salpingitis), inflammation of the womb (cervicitis), pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and infertility. Chlamydia is one of the most common STIs.

If you have concerns that you may have a Chlamydia infection, it is important to stay calm, not panic and get tested to confirm if you do have an infection.  If you do, there are treatments available, which you’d want to pursue should you get a positive confirmation result from the test.

This test is easy to perform and from the comfort of your own home. Sample collection using the swab provided. Full instructions for use enclosed.

• Do Not use the test during your menstrual period or within three days of the end of your period.
• Do Not use during pregnancy
• Do Not use within 14 days of completing a course of antibiotics
• Do Not use if the test kit foil is damaged
• Keep out of reach of children
• This is a single use test – Use the test only once
• Do Not use the test kit after the expiry date
• Store between 4°C and 28°C
